Pop Up Play Village in and around Swale

Introduction

Hi, I am Lauren and I run Pop Up Play Village in and around Swale. I live with my partner Craig and our daughter Isla. I have spent the last 15 years working in Swale for Kent Police as a Police Community Support Officer and loved making a positive impact in the local Community. I have worked with children and young people in a variety of ways in this time. Since the birth of my daughter Isla I struggled with the work life balance around my role and was looking for a new challenge that also gave me enough time to make memories with Isla and the rest of my family.

Fast forward and here I am. I love seeing and helping children grow and flourish, engaging with parents and carers and seeing families have endless amounts of fun. My vision was to provide something for young children within the local area and I believe Pop Up Play Village is a wonderful addition to Swale and surrounding areas.

I now work full time in an Alternative Provision Secondary School as a refocus deputy. The role is challenging but rewarding at the same time. This works well for me as still gives me the opportunity to bring Pop Up Play Village to my area during School Holidays and weekends as well as providing the perfect work life balance.

I look forward to meeting all the families within the Community and having lots of fun.

A Role Play Village for children who love to pretend and explore

Proud of our team well done all x🏆 We Won! 🏆

Today, Pop Up Play Village was honoured to win the Franchising Trailblazer Award at the Disruptive Franchise Awards.

I am incredibly proud, but this award is about so much more. This award belongs to our amazing franchise owners across the UK who bring the magic of role play to children every single day. It belongs to every family who has attended a session, every school that has welcomed us through their doors and every child whose imagination has been sparked through role play.

When I started Pop Up Play Village almost 10 years ago, my mission was to help children learn, develop confidence, communicate, explore emotions and thrive through the power of role play. To see that vision recognised today is truly special.

Thank you to our wonderful team of franchise owners for your passion, dedication and belief in what we do. Together, we are making a difference in communities across the UK and helping more people understand just how valuable role play really is. Here's to continuing to spread the power of role play! 🎊
