Introduction
I would like to welcome you to Pop Up Play Village in and around Portsmouth! Here is a little bit about me:
Hi, my name is Becky and I run Pop Up Play Village in and around Portsmouth.
I’ve worked in childcare for 25 years, in Montessori, Council and Private/Independent nurseries, and have been a Manager for 16 years. I have really enjoyed working in the childcare industry.
I have a 4 year old son & returned to work full time the day after his 1st birthday. After returning to work I decided that I needed a new venture that would give me a better work/life balance and that could adapt to the needs of my family.
When I enquired about Pop Up Play Village, I thought how exciting it sounded. Not only to run your own business, but also having the opportunity to still be working with children & families, which I love. Being able to watch the children’s faces light up, encouraging them to be independent & confidently explore, whilst using their imagination to run wild. At the same time supporting their parents and carers to engage in the overall experience, help them to support their child’s development and meet other people too.
As a parent I have also enjoyed taking my son to groups to meet new people & to go to with our friends. Time for us to chat over a cuppa, share stories of how they are developing & watch our children play & have fun together.
I look forward to meeting you at one of our play sessions soon and have as much fun as we do.
