We are really pleased to be running Pop Up Play Village in the area because it allows children to get creative and use their imaginations. Its play areas and themes have all been designed in line with the Early Years education curriculum, helping children to learn and develop. We are so passionate about parents and children having fun, role playing and socialising together and helping to create memorable and enjoyable experiences for everyone. Pop Up Play Village sessions provide the opportunity to do exactly that and give our little people the chance to pretend to be whatever they want to be! A builder, a parent, a shop keeper, a doctor or a vet! What will your child choose? But most importantly, it’s great fun!
We have always loved observing, playing alongside and developing children’s role play in a school setting and highly value imaginative play as a fun learning experience. Having observed children play for so many years we have seen first-hand how much more focused, socially confident and independent they can become through having opportunities for role play. When we came across Pop Up Play Village we instantly knew this was the next chapter in our lives. We fell in love with the concept and knew that it was ‘different’. The sessions give children the freedom to play, learn, explore and choose what they want to do in a safe and happy environment. There are many classes out there but there is nothing in the area like this, so we thought let’s bring it to North East Lincolnshire.
We hope to meet you and your little ones at one of our sessions very soon for some Pop Up Play Village fun!

Hi, I’m Julie! I will be running Pop Up Play Village in and around Cleethorpes alongside my best friend Ali. For the last 20 years I have been a teacher with an Early Years specialism. I am passionate about bringing learning and play together to enhance children’s communication, creativity and social skills in a fun environment. Soon after returning to work having had my son 3 years ago and then my daughter 18 months ago, I decided that yes I still want to teach and work with children but need to find something that was family friendly and could work around my children and their childcare (teaching didn’t allow this!!). I had never thought about having my own business until I came across Pop Up Play Village. It will hopefully work perfectly for me, I can use all my teaching skills in a fun way and still spend quality time with my family. I will get to meet lots of fantastic families and become a part of the local community.
Hi, I’m Ali! For 32 years I was an Early Years Practitioner in an Early Years setting where I was lucky enough to meet and work alongside my best friend Julie. I also managed an Out Of School Club for 25 of those years working with children aged from 3 to 14 years.
Both of my jobs had a huge impact on my life, I loved every minute with the children and their parents.
I am married with 1 grown up daughter and 3 grown up step-children. I became a grandparent a couple of years ago and realised that family time was very precious and decided to look for a new career that would still involve children but give me more time at home.
When I came across Pop Up Play Village I knew straight away that it was the new job for me! I hope to continue to share my skills with new children and their families in the area for many years to come!
